Head of Sales

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Head of Sales to lead its commercial activities in Ardiya, Kuwait. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the country sales strategy in line with regional and global objectives, driving profitable growth across air, ocean and road freight services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual sales plan, aligning with DHL Global Forwarding’s commercial strategy.
• Achieve revenue, gross profit, volume, new‑business and customer‑retention targets.
• Identify market opportunities, priority sectors and strategic prospects to strengthen market position.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensure accurate forecasting and qualification of opportunities.
• Lead new‑business acquisition, cross‑selling and retention initiatives.
• Engage personally in major negotiations and collaborate with product, pricing, operations and finance teams.
• Monitor performance metrics, review KPIs and apply corrective actions as needed.
• Foster collaboration across air freight, ocean freight, customs and industrial projects to maximise end‑to‑end solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior sales leadership within logistics, freight or related transportation sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on profitable growth.
• Ability to build and sustain senior‑level customer relationships.
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management.
• Knowledge of pricing discipline and commercial governance.
