Infant & Pediatric Nutritionist

About the role

The Infant & Pediatric Nutritionist will join the Children’s Health Integrated Care Center at Taiba Hospital, reporting directly to the center’s leadership. The role focuses on ensuring that infants and children achieve age‑appropriate growth milestones, while supporting families to adhere to personalized nutrition plans.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for infants, toddlers and children using growth charts, dietary histories and medical records.
• Develop individualized feeding plans covering breastfeeding support, formula guidance, solid‑food introduction, allergy management and therapeutic diets.
• Counsel families and caregivers through one‑on‑one sessions and group workshops on feeding techniques, portion sizes and nutrient requirements.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses and therapists to integrate nutrition into each child’s care pathway.
• Monitor growth metrics, laboratory results and caregiver feedback, adjusting plans to ensure optimal development.
• Design and facilitate educational workshops on infant feeding best practices, managing picky eaters and adolescent nutrition.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics with a Registered Dietitian credential.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pediatric or neonatal nutrition, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Deep knowledge of WHO growth standards, therapeutic feeding protocols and pediatric nutrient needs.
• Strong counseling abilities and a patient‑first approach when working with families.
• Excellent collaboration skills for multidisciplinary team environments.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and growth‑tracking software.
