Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to join our team in Salmiya. You will support Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, by providing expert legal advice across commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with Kuwaiti law.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to services, suppliers, branding, leasing, confidentiality, IP, and employment.
• Conduct legal research, draft opinions, and assess risks for business initiatives.
• Manage external litigation, coordinate with law firms, and provide evidence to support cases.
• Analyze regulatory decisions, respond to inquiries from authorities, and ensure compliance with consumer protection, food control, and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain relationships with local law firms and provide guidance on regulatory compliance for new products and projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law; LLM is a plus.
• 3‑4 years of progressive legal experience, preferably in e‑commerce or technology.
• At least 2 years of in‑depth knowledge of Kuwaiti laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent communication skills.
