Junior Lawyer

About the role

The Junior Lawyer will support the Legal Services team by drafting, reviewing and finalising a variety of legal documents and conducting thorough legal research in line with applicable laws and business requirements. This position offers exposure to both local and international commercial agreements and provides an opportunity to develop practical legal skills in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate local and overseas commercial contracts, MOUs, NDAs, distribution, agency and lease agreements.
• Regularly review and validate local agreements to ensure compliance, identify gaps or risks and report findings to the Manager, Legal Services.
• Apply knowledge of the applicable legal system to answer business inquiries, mitigate risks and provide timely guidance to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with other legal team members to deliver consistent advice to business units and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
• Summarise complex legal documents for the Manager, suggest amendments and support contract negotiations.
• Conduct labour investigations, advise employees and managers on potential legal implications, and prepare research briefs using statutes, codes and case law.
