About the role
Amentum is seeking qualified Malayalam linguists to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait. Although no position is open now, applications will be considered for future needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational linguist support for military missions, including interpretation during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications and foreign‑language documents for critical information.
- Deliver a range of translation and interpretation services in Malayalam.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship with a current passport.
- ILR Level 3 proficiency in Malayalam and Level 2+ in English (oral and written).
- Willingness to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Ability to work in Kuwait, including shifts and extended hours for 24/7 operations.
- Familiarity with local culture and customs; pass a medical examination.
Required skills
- Professional translation and interpretation in Malayalam.
- Document scanning, research, and analysis.
- Transcription of verbal communications.
