Firefighter – Kuwait (WEXMAC Support)

About the role

The Firefighter will operate under the supervision of the Fire Officer at a DoD installation in Kuwait, providing fire suppression, rescue, and emergency response services while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to fire emergencies, operate pumps, foam generators, turrets, and nozzles, and protect evidence at the fire scene.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, tools, and personal protective clothing in serviceable condition.
• Conduct fire inspections, pre‑incident planning, and maintain documentation to meet NFPA and DoD standards.
• Operate digital fire alarm and two‑way radio systems, and perform logistical duties such as equipment accountability and maintenance scheduling.

Required profile

• Minimum one (1) year of firefighting experience on a DoD installation (preferred).
• Valid home‑country driver’s license and passport with at least two years validity.
• Ability to pass annual firefighter health exam, SCBA fit testing (NFPA 1582/1583) and be available for recall.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.

Required skills

• Operation of fire suppression equipment: pumps, foam generators, turrets, nozzles.
• Use of SCBA, NFPA‑compliant procedures, HazMat response, CPR and First Aid.
• Computer skills: MS‑Word, MS‑Excel, MS‑Outlook, digital fire alarm receiving equipment.
