Patient Care Tech I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I works on the 2nd floor rehab unit, providing essential support to patients and their families. This frontline position requires compassion, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with basic care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Support families by answering questions and providing guidance.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and observations.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate any changes in patient status.

Required profile

• At least 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and a full 48‑hour bi‑weekly schedule.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
