Patient Care Tech I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I supports patients and families on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit, providing basic care, hygiene assistance, and monitoring to ensure a complete and compassionate experience. Working closely with the healthcare team, the tech acts as the primary point of contact for patients throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care provided.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Anticipate and respond to patient needs proactively.
• Participate in ongoing training such as CPR, skills workshops, and hospitality in healthcare.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade (C or higher) in English Composition and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and a 48‑hour bi‑weekly schedule.
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn new healthcare skills, collaborate with the care team, and engage patients at appropriate cognitive levels.
• Problem‑solving mindset and proactive approach to patient needs.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided through training).
