Patient Care Tech I – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I provides essential support to patients and their families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit. Working the day shift, the role focuses on basic patient care, hygiene, monitoring, and ensuring that all aspects of care are completed with compassion and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed according to standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.
• Provide compassionate, patient‑centered support throughout the day shift.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a minimum C grade and overall GPA of 2.0 or higher (transcripts verified).
• Willingness to work flexible hours within the day shift (6:30 am–7:00 pm).
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills and to collaborate consistently with the care team.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided if not already held).
