EMT Basic – Emergency Medical Technician (Basic)

About the role

The EMT Basic position is based in Kuwait, supporting the WEXMAC operation for V2X. The role involves responding to fire, medical and related emergencies, providing basic emergency medical treatment, and ensuring safe transport of patients to medical facilities. The incumbent will also assist with fire department activities and fire alarm communications.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain readiness for emergency call response and respond promptly to fire and medical calls.
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) in accordance with EMS protocols and assist paramedics in patient assessment.
• Transport patients safely to designated hospitals or clinics.
• Staff the Fire Alarm Communications Center, monitor fire alarm systems and emergency phones, and dispatch appropriate resources.
• Educate staff and the public on fire safety and prevention.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in a serviceable condition.
• Participate in continuing medical education as both instructor and student.
• Communicate effectively via radio, telephone and written reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC).
• IFSAC or Pro‑Board certification (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to obtain and maintain CAC eligibility.
• Willingness to work in Kuwait and comply with local regulations.

Required skills
