Patient Care Tech I – Night Shift, 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I supports patients and families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit during night hours. The role focuses on basic patient care, hygiene, monitoring and ensuring that care plans are fully completed. Strong compassion and communication are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily hygiene, mobility, and basic care tasks.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to ensure care plans are followed.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college‑level credit hours, including English Composition (C+ or higher) and a GPA of 2.0 or above.
• Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 pm – 7:00 am).
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills quickly.
• Proactive problem‑solving and anticipation of patient needs.
• Effective collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• Basic patient care techniques (e.g., hygiene, monitoring).
