Patient Care Technician – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Technician I works on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit, providing essential bedside support to patients and their families. This full‑time day‑shift position (6:30 am – 7:00 pm) offers 72 hours bi‑weekly and includes comprehensive training in CPR, hospitality, and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Support families by answering questions and ensuring comfort.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and the broader healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions.
• Adapt to flexible scheduling needs as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 12 college‑level credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not mandatory; service‑industry experience also welcomed.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn new healthcare skills quickly and apply them consistently.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset and a compassionate approach to patient care.
