Patient Care Technician I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports patients and families on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit by providing basic care, monitoring, and hygiene assistance. The role requires compassion, strong human interaction, and effective communication with both patients and the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene.
• Ensure care is complete and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a C or higher and overall GPA ≥ 2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and good organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills, collaborate with the care team, engage patients appropriately, solve problems, and anticipate needs.
