Project Engineer I – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is seeking a Project Engineer I to support a 5‑year PMC contract with Kuwait Oil Company. The role focuses on delivering programme management services for new and upgraded oil‑field facilities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, take‑over and hand‑over of oil‑field projects.
• Define clear objectives for the PMC design and engineering teams.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering activities during FEED, bidding and EPC phases.
• Prepare scope of work, technical parts of Invitation‑to‑Bid documents and milestone review packages.
• Coordinate reviews of P&IDs, line lists, equipment datasheets, instrumentation indexes and cable routing.
• Lead client‑PMC technical reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability and 3‑D model assessments.
• Support field engineering, monitor test packages, welding maps, spool tracking and overall field progress.
• Work with commissioning teams on punch walks, loop checks, PSSR reviews and compile Mechanical Completion and Ready‑for‑Start‑Up dossiers.
• Maintain and deliver as‑built documentation, redlines, MTOs and commissioning binders.

Required profile

• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering activities for oil‑ and gas projects.
• Familiarity with FEED, ITB and LSTK tender processes.
• Ability to act as primary technical interface with the client.
