Research & Grants Office Manager

About the role

The Manager of the Research & Grants Office supports the Assistant Vice President for Research by overseeing daily operations, grant administration, compliance, and institutional reporting. The role ensures efficient coordination of research activities, faculty and student engagement, and external collaborations in line with AIU’s research strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage workflow, calendars, project tracking, SharePoint sites, documentation, and SOPs for the Research & Grants Office.
• Coordinate internal and external grant activities, from opportunity identification to post‑award monitoring and reporting.
• Administer the Research & Ethics Committee, maintaining submissions, approvals, conflict‑of‑interest records, and audit‑ready documentation.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual research reports, dashboards, KPI tracking, and accreditation evidence.
• Support faculty and student research through grant‑writing assistance, workshops, internships, and research showcases.
• Develop and promote research partnerships, MoUs, events, and media communications in collaboration with Marketing & Communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Research Administration, Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, Communication or a related field.
• Minimum four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in research administration, grants management, or higher‑education operations.
