Room Reservation Agent – Hospitality

About the role

The Room Reservation Agent is the first point of contact for guests seeking to book or modify their stay at our hotel. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you will ensure accurate reservations, provide clear information on rates and policies, and deliver a welcoming experience that reflects Marriott’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability and rates.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Document special requests and accommodate them whenever possible.
• Enter reservation data accurately into the hotel’s reservation system, including special codes for complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel‑agent rates, and wholesale bookings.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and adhere to escalation procedures for guest concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information and uphold all company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior reservation or hospitality experience required.
• Professional appearance and strong commitment to guest privacy and security.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
