Sales Executive - Commercial Freight

About the role

The Sales Executive will retain existing customers and develop new business for the commercial freight division, aligning with company values and contributing to the logistics sales budget.

Key responsibilities

• Secure new customers while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
• Meet and exceed revenue targets, aiming for at least 75% of budget revenue from new customers.
• Generate and report a minimum number of sales leads, converting them into revenue‑generating business.
• Follow up on customer communications promptly and professionally.
• Support Customer Service and collaborate closely with Operations and Documentation on contract execution.
• Gather market information and participate in weekly/monthly sales meetings for business development.
• Coordinate with the Finance Controller to follow up on outstanding client payments.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date list of existing and potential customers.
• Prepare weekly activity reports, prospect lists, and sales call plans for submission to the CSM.
• Monitor competitor activities and stay informed on industry trends.

Required profile

• University graduate with a degree in International Trade, Shipping, Supply Chain Management, or any other faculty.
• 3‑5 years of proven sales and marketing experience, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Computer literate with effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Valid driving licence.
• Professional grooming and appearance.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of local geography, language, traditions, and market dynamics.
