Security Supervisor - Overnight Safety & Security

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network (Fairmont) in Kuwait City is looking for an Overnight Safety & Security Supervisor. You will support the Security Manager in protecting the property, improving team performance and overseeing overnight operations, leading nightly safety and security work and ensuring compliance with established protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overnight safety and security team and conduct routine patrols to protect guests, staff and property assets
• Monitor and address safety hazards, security risks and unauthorized activity, and investigate incidents involving guests or employees
• Assist the Night Manager during emergencies: run drills, respond to incidents, administer first aid/CPR and coordinate emergency response
• Oversee CCTV, alarm systems and secure access points, and conduct documented key control audits
• Ensure compliance with local and corporate safety regulations, including fire safety and liquor laws
• Manage disturbances, resolve conflicts, handle guest complaints and issue trespass notices when appropriate
• Train, coach and mentor team members, hold regular team meetings and check with the manager before leaving shift
• Promote the hotel's environmental programme and contribute ideas to improve operations

Required profile

• Previous security experience is required; previous safety experience is strongly preferred in the hospitality industry
• Valid Advanced Level First Aid is an asset; firefighter training, WHMIS and other safety courses are an asset
• Excellent communication and organisation skills in Arabic and English
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision and in conflict situations
