Senior Commercial Manager

About the role

Tabby, the leading shopping and payments platform in the GCC, is launching its operations in Kuwait and seeks a Senior Commercial Manager to be the sole commercial point of contact on the ground. The role will act as the local face for merchants, support the commercial engine and work closely with regional account, sales and partnership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Tabby’s on‑ground commercial representative in Kuwait, building strong relationships with key merchants and partners.
• Act as an escalation point for merchant needs that require an in‑person presence or local touch.
• Evangelise Tabby in Kuwait: attend events, open doors, and build the brand’s local commercial presence.
• Identify gaps and untapped opportunities in the Kuwait merchant portfolio and flag them to the appropriate teams.
• Partner closely with account management, sales and partnerships teams to drive deal closure and account growth.
• Own and be accountable for GMV (and potentially revenue) targets for the Kuwait market, achieved through collaboration rather than direct control.
• Fire‑fight and repair merchant relationships when required, acting as a trusted local advisor.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial role such as account management, sales or partnerships, preferably with exposure to online and/or offline retail.
• Proven understanding of e‑commerce sales funnels and how merchants acquire, convert and grow customers.
• Strong communication skills and confidence representing a brand externally.
• Ability to work autonomously on the ground while coordinating with regional teams.
