Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our operations team at our port and terminal facility in Kuwait City. The role involves overseeing the design, installation, maintenance and optimisation of electrical systems critical to port operations, ensuring reliable power distribution and compliance with international maritime standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement electrical systems and infrastructure for port terminal operations, including power distribution networks, backup power systems and control systems.
• Analyse electrical system performance, conduct root‑cause analysis on equipment failures and provide solutions to minimise downtime.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, coordinating with maintenance teams to optimise system reliability.
• Lead and mentor a team of electrical technicians and junior engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive electrical documentation such as single‑line diagrams, control schematics and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct electrical safety audits and implement safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior electrical engineer, preferably in a maritime or port environment.
• Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage complex electrical projects in a fast‑paced setting.
• Leadership skills to guide and develop technical teams.
