Senior IT Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

The bank is seeking a Senior IT Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that software and system deliveries meet quality standards and business requirements. You will lead test planning, execution, defect management and support the software development lifecycle across multiple banking channels.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and convert them into comprehensive test plans, cases and scenarios.
• Design, execute and document manual test plans for functional, system, integration, smoke and regression testing.
• Report defects, verify fixes and coordinate with development teams for unit testing.
• Prepare daily and weekly test progress reports to ensure schedules are met.
• Create and maintain a reusable test case repository and develop automation or performance testing scripts when required.
• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle and ensure proper documentation of testing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QA experience, preferably in retail, corporate banking or financial services covering payments, mobile/web channels, treasury, trade finance, loans or card management.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing cycles and software testing practices.

Required skills

• SQL and database testing.
• Test management tools such as Jira and HP ALM.
• Programming languages: Java, UNIX, C#, C++.
• Automation testing tools.
• Performance testing scripting.
