Senior IT Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior IT Quality Assurance Engineer to join a leading bank in Kuwait. The role will ensure that software and system deliveries meet quality standards and business requirements through comprehensive testing before deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into detailed test plans, test cases and scenarios.
• Design, execute and maintain manual and automated test scripts for functional, system, integration, smoke and regression testing.
• Perform testing during SIT, regression and other test cycles, document results and report defects using test management tools.
• Validate defect fixes and coordinate with development teams to ensure issues are resolved.
• Prepare daily and weekly test progress reports to track schedules and timelines.
• Create and maintain a reusable test case repository and develop performance testing scripts when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QA experience, preferably in retail, corporate banking or financial services.
• ISTQB certification is preferred.
