Senior Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily logistics, transportation and warehousing activities, ensuring smooth execution of the supply chain and high customer satisfaction. This role drives operational efficiency, manages performance, and coordinates cross‑functional teams to meet service delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enforce and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational processes.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, serviced and compliant with safety regulations.
• Track and manage operational budgets, including labor and transportation costs.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coach staff and support training initiatives.
• Oversee handling, storage and reverse logistics of goods to prevent damage and manage returns.
• Liaise with external vendors and logistics providers to maintain service quality.
• Prepare and present operational performance reports for senior management.
• Supervise teams of drivers, warehouse workers and other operations staff.
• Monitor KPIs, implement process improvements and resolve operational issues, delays or customer complaints.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in operations, logistics or supply‑chain supervision, preferably in transportation.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Solid knowledge of logistics and transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Experience developing SOPs, managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in logistics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for reporting and analysis.
