Senior Quantity Surveyor (Marine and Ports)

About the role

Egis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the project management team for a large‑scale port development in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing all quantity surveying activities, cost control, and contract administration to ensure the project meets its technical and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the quantity surveying function for the port project, guaranteeing accurate measurement and valuation of works.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align cost estimates with project goals.
• Supervise and mentor junior quantity surveyors, providing guidance on best practices and technical issues.
• Manage contract administration, variations, and claims throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure or port projects.
• Proficiency with quantity surveying software.
• Strong knowledge of marine and port construction techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Kuwait for the duration of the project.
