Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Egis Group is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and delivery of structural solutions for a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects in Kuwait City. You will combine technical expertise with strong project management to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality outcomes while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural design from feasibility through detailed design and construction support for infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review calculations, design reports, specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
• Conduct structural assessments of existing assets and develop rehabilitation and upgrade solutions.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical teams to deliver integrated designs.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, develop schedules, monitor budgets, and communicate with clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Mentor junior engineers, support bid preparation, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status (PE, PEng, or equivalent) or progress toward chartership.
• 8‑10 years of relevant structural engineering experience, preferably on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects and teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, and STAAD.Pro.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel design principles.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
