Site Engineer – Residential Construction

About the role

The Site Engineer will lead on‑site engineering for the Shuwaikh Villas project, planning and coordinating daily construction activities while managing subcontractors, materials and technical matters to keep the villas on schedule and within specifications. The role also includes monitoring the Chalet project and supporting other Zaleej projects as required.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily construction activities and material arrangements on the Shuwaikh Villas site, ensuring labour, subcontractors and materials are available as planned.
• Review engineering drawings, resolve discrepancies, and raise formal queries to consultants or the design office.
• Oversee subcontractors and labour to ensure work conforms to approved drawings and specifications, and verify progress and payments before approval.
• Monitor project progress against the programme, identify slippage early and report weekly recovery actions to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental requirements through inspections and corrective actions.
• Maintain site records, daily reports, progress photographs and project documentation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of site or project engineering experience in villa or low‑rise residential construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Native Arabic fluency and full professional fluency in English (read, write, speak).
• Transferable Article 18 residency in Kuwait and a valid Kuwaiti driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with MS Project or Primavera.
• Advanced Excel skills.
