Survey Inspector – Port Project

About the role

Egis is seeking a Survey Inspector to join its port construction project in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing all surveying activities, ensuring quality and compliance, and supporting the project team to deliver a safe and efficient maritime infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed site surveys and inspections throughout all phases of the port construction.
• Perform design reviews and provide technical input to optimise plans and specifications.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Utilise advanced survey equipment and techniques to collect and analyse data for planning and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and maintain timelines.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports with findings, recommendations and supporting documentation.
• Review and validate contractor survey data for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Participate in project meetings and advise on survey‑related matters.
• Ensure adherence to local and international construction codes throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in survey inspection, preferably in port or marine construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Required skills

• Advanced survey equipment operation (e.g., total stations, GPS).
• Survey data analysis and validation.
• Technical drawing interpretation.
