Technical Operations Manager, Third Party Data Center

About the role

Google’s Third‑Party Data Center Operations team is looking for a Technical Operations Manager to ensure reliable operation of mechanical and electrical infrastructure at vendor‑operated data centers. You will work closely with Google’s Data Center Engineering, Hardware Operations and Network Infrastructure teams as well as external data‑center providers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operation of electrical, cooling and IT infrastructure in third‑party data centers.
• Partner with vendor operators to maintain and improve operability, maintainability and reliability of facilities.
• Conduct operational assessments, risk analyses and resource‑forecasting for data‑center sites.
• Drive initiatives that enhance quality, mitigate critical work risk and resolve conflicts.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to align vendor performance with Google standards.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree, trade‑school certification or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing critical facility operations.
• Fluent English communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Experience in data‑center environments, including building and operating infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead operations and people in a global setting.
