University Registrar

About the role

The University Registrar is a senior leader within the Division of Student Affairs, responsible for the integrity and management of all academic records, registration, and graduation processes. This role ensures compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements while supporting student success across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Registrar’s Office, overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, and service delivery.
• Manage student academic records, registration, transcripts, degree audits, and enrollment verification.
• Coordinate academic scheduling, course offerings, and registration in partnership with academic schools.
• Oversee transfer credit evaluations, academic standing, graduation clearance, degree conferral, and diploma issuance.
• Maintain the security, confidentiality, and accuracy of student data and the Student Information System (SIS).
• Prepare enrollment, academic, graduation, and regulatory reports to support accreditation and compliance.
• Interpret and apply academic policies, providing guidance to students, faculty, and staff.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Admissions, IT, and other units to enhance student services and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum five years of progressive higher‑education experience, including at least three years in a Registrar or academic records environment.
• Proven supervisory experience with staff development and performance management.
• Experience managing departmental budgets and using data for institutional decision‑making.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Student Information Systems (SIS) and academic technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Banner and Degree Works.
• Strong analytical and data‑management capabilities for reporting and compliance.
