Utility Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Utility Engineer to join Egis in Kuwait, supporting the design, installation and maintenance of utility systems for our port and terminal infrastructure. The role ensures reliable, efficient and compliant utility services in a dynamic maritime environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install and maintain electrical, water, HVAC and other utility systems across port and terminal facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic assessments to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot system failures and coordinate timely repairs with maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional and international safety and regulatory standards.
• Monitor system performance using SCADA and other technologies to optimise efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and recommendations for upgrades.
• Collaborate with operations, safety and management teams on infrastructure projects.
• Analyse utility consumption data to identify cost‑saving and efficiency measures.
• Respond to emergency utility failures and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in utility systems management, maintenance or engineering within port, terminal or industrial environments.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic, on‑site environment and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
