Vice President of Enrollment & Student Affairs

About the role

The Vice President of Enrollment & Student Affairs will lead the full student lifecycle at American International University, from prospect outreach through graduation. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, this senior executive will shape strategy, drive enrollment growth, and enhance the campus experience in alignment with the university’s mission and Kuwait’s regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment strategy, set annual targets for undergraduate, graduate, transfer and international students, and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Lead market analysis, forecasting and data‑driven decision‑making to optimise recruitment outcomes.
• Oversee all admissions operations, ensuring transparent, fair and compliant processes that meet Kuwait regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Expand domestic and international recruitment partnerships and collaborate with Marketing & Communications on branding and digital campaigns.
• Provide governance for student registration, course scheduling and enrollment systems, aligning course offerings with demand and degree progression.
• Direct student life functions including orientation, counseling, housing, clubs, athletics and support services, fostering a safe and inclusive campus environment.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in enrollment management, admissions or student affairs within a higher‑education setting.
• Deep understanding of Kuwait’s higher‑education regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with a track record of meeting enrollment and financial targets.
• Ability to collaborate across academic, finance, marketing and administrative units.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
