VTC Technician I (Secret Clearance)

About the role

V2X is seeking a VTC Technician I to support video teleconferencing operations for the OMDAC‑SWACA program. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining VTC equipment while ensuring secure and non‑secure connectivity for conferences worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers to verify that VTC equipment is operational and set up for each conference.
• Establish end‑to‑end secure and non‑secure connectivity, manage cable routing, and adjust audio‑visual settings for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot VTC and connectivity issues with local and remote technical control facilities and the Service Desk.
• Perform weekly maintenance on all VTC hardware, including codecs, Crestron systems, DVRs, cameras, and microphones.
• Operate, administer, and maintain the VTC Bridge, providing technical support for attached circuits.

Required profile

• Active Secret Clearance.
• High school diploma or GED; up to a 4‑year bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in video teleconferencing or audio‑video production.
• Ability to work rotating shifts covering 24 hours, 7 days a week.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and wear personal protective equipment in extreme heat.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer hardware (desktop/laptop) and Microsoft productivity software.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting video codecs and Crestron control systems.
• Familiarity with email client software and basic networking concepts.
