Waiter – Full‑time Hospitality Role

About the role

The Waiter at KUL Restaurant delivers exceptional dining experiences by taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages, and engaging with guests in a friendly, professional manner. This position focuses on high‑quality hospitality, menu expertise, and seamless collaboration with the kitchen team to drive guest satisfaction and repeat business.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, explain daily specials and answer questions about ingredients, preparation methods and allergens.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using a handheld POS terminal and transmit them instantly to the kitchen and bar.
• Upsell appetizers, premium beverages, wine pairings and desserts to enhance the guest experience.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining correct temperatures and presentation standards.
• Monitor tables, refill drinks, clear plates, replace cutlery and anticipate guest needs.
• Process payments accurately, present checks and return exact change or receipts.
• Complete opening, closing and side‑work duties such as polishing glassware, rolling silverware and stocking service stations.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary dining area in compliance with local food‑safety regulations.
• Address guest complaints on the floor and escalate when necessary.
• Communicate allergies or dietary restrictions to the kitchen and double‑check plates before serving.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid local food‑handler certification and responsible alcohol service certification where required.
• Full availability for peak shifts, including weekends, nights and major holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, walk and carry loaded trays (up to 10–15 kg) for an 8‑hour shift.

Required skills
