Accountant – Kuwait

About the role

The accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports and statements, performing bank reconciliations, and supporting cyclical audits. Working closely with internal teams and external auditors, the role ensures compliance with both local and international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Manage and reconcile bank statements and other accounts.
• Perform monthly and year‑end closing procedures.
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements when necessary.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Assist with special projects and ad‑hoc financial analysis as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant.
• Strong interpersonal skills and solid business acumen.
• Proficiency in French (both written and spoken).
