Ammunition Manager Assistant

About the role

The Ammunition Manager Assistant will support U.S. Government ammunition supply, inventory and stockpile management for Army stocks within USCENTCOM. This position ensures safe, accountable, and efficient ammunition operations across theater locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supply, inventory and stockpile of U.S. Army ammunition in USCENTCOM, including storage levels and theater stock objectives.
• Coordinate training ammunition support, central requisitioning, force modernization, asset movement, redistribution, retrograde, foreign military sales, maintenance, demilitarization and disposal.
• Provide asset visibility using SAAS, TAMIS, MHP and NLAC systems.
• Identify shortages, recommend resupply actions, and monitor on‑hand stocks for war reserves, operational and training ammunition.
• Track air, ground and sea shipments, generate Excel and PowerPoint reports, and troubleshoot Class V schedule issues.
• Evaluate and approve Ammunition Basic Load (ABL) requests and maintain status updates.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for ammunition operations and contingency planning.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Minimum five years of theater/operational level conventional ammunition management experience.
• At least ten years of technical experience with ammunition management and theater distribution.
• Proficiency in Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) operations and connectivity.
