Application Developer – IT (University)

About the role

The American International University is seeking an Application Developer to design, build, and maintain software solutions that support its academic and administrative operations. You will work closely with senior developers and project managers to turn functional requirements into reliable, secure, and user‑friendly applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain custom and enterprise applications according to defined requirements and standards.
• Provide enhancements, bug fixes, and ongoing support for existing systems.
• Follow secure coding practices and adhere to architectural guidelines.
• Assist in integrating applications with core university systems such as SIS, LMS, CRM, and analytics platforms.
• Participate in automation, optimization, and dashboard development initiatives (Power BI or Tableau).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical tasks.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and support post‑deployment stabilization.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with security and data‑protection policies.
