Application Support/Deployment Engineer (Non-developer)

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support/Deployment Engineer (non-developer) to join our IT team in Kuwait. The role focuses on maintaining and deploying enterprise applications, ensuring database reliability, and supporting both Windows and Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for application issues and coordinate resolution with development teams.
• Plan, execute and monitor software deployments using IIS and other web server technologies.
• Administer and optimise MS SQL, Oracle and MySQL databases, writing and tuning SQL queries.
• Maintain Windows Server and Linux operating systems, applying patches and managing services.
• Develop and run scripts to automate routine tasks and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct functional, integration and user-acceptance testing, documenting results and defects.
• Apply system security best practices and contribute to security-related documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile and DevOps practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in application support, software deployment or system administration.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Arabic and English.
• Valid driving licence.
• Business Analysis or Project Management certification is a plus.

• Scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Software testing methodologies: V&V, integration testing, UAT.

• Microsoft Office suite and technical documentation.
• System security concepts and use of automation/AI tools.
