Area Manager – Coffee Retail

About the role

We are seeking an Area Manager who is passionate about coffee and experienced in leading multi‑site retail teams. You will be responsible for overseeing several coffee shops, ensuring each delivers high‑quality coffee, welcoming service, and consistent operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across assigned locations, maintaining standards of coffee quality, service, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Coach and develop store managers and their teams.
• Monitor sales, costs, staffing, and inventory to meet financial targets.
• Work with store managers to create action plans that improve performance and customer satisfaction.
• Promote coffee knowledge, barista skills, and a culture of continuous learning.
• Conduct regular store visits to review standards and support teams.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company policies.
• Support new store openings, product launches, and local marketing activities.
• Resolve customer concerns and operational challenges promptly.
• Report area performance, key issues, and improvement opportunities to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Area Manager or Multi‑Site Manager.
• Strong interest in coffee with knowledge of brewing methods and espresso preparation.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret performance reports, manage budgets, and control costs.
• Customer‑focused approach with a commitment to consistent quality.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities across multiple locations.
• Willingness to travel regularly between stores and work flexible hours when required.
