Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

This entry‑level management position supports daily operations across Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry (if applicable) at a hotel in Kuwait City. The role oversees cleaning of guest rooms and public areas, conducts inspections, and ensures guest and employee satisfaction while managing the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage housekeeping operations, budgets and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Assign daily cleaning tasks, coordinate with Front Desk and Engineering, and oversee lost‑and‑found procedures.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, linens and guest amenities; order items as needed.
• Supervise shift staff, enforce housekeeping policies, and conduct room and public‑area inspections.
• Handle guest complaints, review feedback, and empower staff to deliver excellent service.
• Support training initiatives, monitor performance, coach employees, and manage payroll administration.
• Ensure staffing levels meet service, operational and financial objectives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years housekeeping experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field (no experience required).
