Assistant Manager - Brokerage Operations

About the role

A leading investment and asset management organization in Kuwait is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its Brokerage Operations team. The role focuses on back‑office investment operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, reconciliations, corporate actions and client reporting while upholding high standards of control and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain investment transactions such as trades, cash movements, dividends, securities transfers and other portfolio activities.
• Review trade instructions and confirmations, validate details and record transactions for timely settlement.
• Perform regular cash and securities reconciliations across custodians, brokers and counterparties, investigating discrepancies.
• Monitor and process corporate actions, ensuring communication, record updates and receipt of entitlements.
• Maintain organized operational records to support audit, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare accurate operational, client, management and regulatory reports.
• Identify operational issues, escalate when necessary and respond promptly to inquiries.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of experience in investment, asset management, custody or securities operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of investment operations, financial markets and instruments.
• High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and excellent communication skills in English (Arabic a plus).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bloomberg, Reuters or Zawya financial information platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Access or similar databases is an advantage.
