About the role
The Assistant Manager – Stewarding (Banquets/Catering) supports the oversight of the banquet and catering services within the hotel's stewarding department. This role ensures staffing, training, scheduling and high‑quality service delivery, contributing to guest satisfaction in line with Hyatt International standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in managing the entire banquet and catering operations, including outdoor events.
- Coordinate staffing, training and scheduling to maintain efficient service.
- Monitor cost control and productivity to run the department as a profitable service centre.
- Plan, organize, direct and control stewarding activities to meet Hyatt quality standards.
- Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required profile
- Proven hotel experience with a thorough understanding of banquet service levels.
- Strong result‑oriented mindset with people‑management and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑department collaboration.
- Ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure.
- Proactive work style and willingness to take initiative.
