Assistant Resident Engineer – Port Project

About the role

Egis is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Resident Engineer on a major port development in Kuwait. You will help manage daily project activities, ensure compliance with schedules, budgets and quality standards, and contribute to the successful delivery of the construction works.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing day‑to‑day project activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction progress.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance.
• Support the Resident Engineer in coordinating with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision‑making processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Assist in quality control and quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and report on project risks, recommending mitigation strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in port or marine construction.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction management techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait for the duration of the project.
