Assistant Storekeeper

About the role

The Assistant Storekeeper will support the Supply Chain – Warehouse Department in managing inventory, stock control, and distribution across multiple food brands. The role ensures operational efficiency while complying with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor inventory levels for various food brands and franchises.
• Conduct daily stock counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
• Identify and address slow‑moving, excess, or expired stock.
• Coordinate with buyers and quality control on short‑landed or damaged materials.
• Support procurement and restaurant teams with timely replenishment.
• Supervise receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods according to company standards.
• Maintain proper storage conditions and enforce FIFO & FEFO practices.
• Update inventory records and ERP/system data promptly.
• Prepare inventory, consumption, and spoilage reports for management.
• Train and guide warehouse team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in warehouse or storekeeping, preferably in FMCG or food industry.
• Knowledge of inventory control, FIFO & FEFO practices.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and stock management processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
