Assistant/Associate Professor of Sociology (Full‑time)

About the role

The university is seeking full‑time Assistant or Associate Professors in Sociology to join its Liberal Arts Department starting Fall 2026. The position involves teaching undergraduate courses, advising students, and advancing the institution’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare course materials, including syllabi, presentations and assignments, in collaboration with fellow faculty.
• Deliver student‑centered lectures using the university’s learning management systems (Moodle and Banner).
• Administer, grade and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments.
• Maintain regular office hours and participate in faculty meetings.
• Conduct original research, publish findings in refereed journals and contribute to departmental research initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated academic achievements and a strong research record with publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Commitment to teaching excellence and undergraduate student advising.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, interdisciplinary and fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient oral and written English.
