Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician

About the role

The Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician is responsible for the logistics, inspection, repair and certification of all supplied ALSE, first‑aid kits and Night Vision Devices for deployed personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions and resolve repair problems using drawings, wiring diagrams and technical publications.
• Inspect, service, instruct and certify individual and crew equipment, including ALSE and NVD.
• Order, receive, inventory and manage kits and components, resolving shipping discrepancies.
• Ensure proper fit of crew clothing and maintain computerized inventories to meet inspection intervals.
• Provide instruction to contractor and host‑nation personnel on proper use and care of equipment.
• Maintain ALSE and NVD for DoS and DI personnel and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year verifiable experience as an ALSE technician.
• Certificate of training as a school‑trained ALSE Technician.
• Valid US passport (minimum 2.5 years) and US citizenship for security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (NAC‑I T1 Public Trust) and pass CENTCOM medical requirements.
• Eligibility for a Kuwait PCC background check and visa.
• Knowledge of CMF 92 Supply & Services MOS series or equivalent, aircrew and aircraft LSE requirements, basic flight theory, and aviation safety procedures.
