Bid Manager – Lead Proposal Development

About the role

The Bid Manager will own the end‑to‑end bid lifecycle for complex architectural, engineering and construction projects. You will drive a collaborative, auditable process that turns client RFPs into winning proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate round‑table meetings with stakeholders to define a criteria‑driven bid approach.
• Develop and review opportunity storyboards, ensuring visual clarity, brand alignment and financial robustness.
• Lead, coach and manage the Bid Team throughout the preparation, submission and post‑submission phases.
• Hand over proposals to Operations, providing project managers and design teams with full background before kickoff.
• Respond swiftly to post‑submission queries, working with departmental representatives and project managers.
• Prepare financial strategies and proposals, including new pricing mechanisms and labour‑rate validation.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Graphic Design to optimise documentation look and feel.
• Analyse RFPs, assess risks, and advise the Director on go/no‑go decisions.
• Define responsibility matrices for associates and joint‑venture partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of senior Bid Management experience in the architectural, engineering or construction sector.
• Experience in a consultancy environment, preferably with recent Middle East exposure.
• Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management or a related field.
