Bid Manager – Lead Proposal & Tender Process

About the role

The Bid Manager will own the end‑to‑end tender lifecycle, from initial RFP analysis through to award hand‑over. This senior position ensures a robust, auditable process that delivers compelling, financially sound proposals aligned with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate round‑table meetings with stakeholders to define a criteria‑driven bid approach.
• Develop and review opportunity storyboards, providing innovative input to optimise each proposal.
• Ensure visual clarity, brand alignment and financial robustness of bid documents.
• Lead, coach and manage the Bid Team’s performance and engagement.
• Coordinate hand‑over of proposals to Operations, supporting project kick‑off.
• Address post‑submission queries swiftly, collaborating with departmental representatives.
• Prepare financial strategies and proposals, including new pricing mechanisms as required.
• Work with Marketing and Graphic Design to enhance documentation look and feel.
• Analyse competitive advantage, market rates and client preferences to shape bid strategy.
• Conduct Go/No‑Go assessments with the Director and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of senior Bid Management experience in Architecture, Engineering or Construction.
• Proven track record in consultancy environments, preferably with recent Middle East exposure.
• Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management or related field.

Required skills

• Extensive experience managing full bid cycles (RFP, pre‑tender, Q&A, submission, post‑submission).
• Strong financial analysis and pricing strategy capabilities.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive collaborative decision‑making.
