Bid Manager – Lead Tender & Proposal Process

About the role

The Bid Manager will own the end‑to‑end bid lifecycle, from initial RFP analysis through to award hand‑over. You will design and run a collaborative, auditable process that ensures every proposal is financially robust, visually compelling, and aligned with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate round‑table meetings with stakeholders to develop a criteria‑driven bid strategy.
• Create and review opportunity storyboards, providing innovative input to optimise each bid.
• Lead the Bid Team, managing performance, development and engagement.
• Coordinate hand‑over of proposals to Operations, ensuring project managers and design teams have full background before kick‑off.
• Address post‑submission queries quickly, working with departmental representatives and project managers.
• Develop financial strategies and proposals, including new pricing mechanisms where required.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Graphic Design to ensure proposals are visually attractive and brand‑consistent.
• Analyse client profiles, market rates and competitive advantages to shape bid positioning.
• Review RFPs, assess risk and workload, and advise the Director on go/no‑go decisions.
• Source and validate labour rates and man‑month quotations from Centres of Excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of senior Bid Management experience in Architecture, Engineering or Construction.
• Proven track record in consultancy environments, preferably with recent Middle East exposure.
• Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management or related field.
• Strong analytical, financial and strategic decision‑making abilities.
