C-17 Product Repair & Modification Technician

About the role

Boeing is seeking a C-17 Product Repair & Modification Technician to support Boeing Global Services at Al Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait. The role is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) aircraft. It covers both flight-line and back-shop maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform organizational-level maintenance such as aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis, component replacement and structural repair.
• Perform intermediate-level maintenance such as component repair, test set operation, battery charging and scheduled periodic inspections.
• Lead the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components.
• Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul, configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems and direct repairs.
• Oversee validation and verification testing of systems and components.
• Document procedures and processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect components and verify repairs for flight-worthiness requirements.
• Supervise others in the safe handling of aerospace vehicles and provide training and mentorship.

Required profile

• 5+ years of C-17 maintenance experience.
• Current or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
• Ability to obtain a work visa depending on the requirements of the country.
• English is the primary language on the airbase; reading, comprehension and speaking are necessary.
• Works under minimal direction.
