C-17 Product Repair & Modifications Technician

About the role

Boeing is seeking a C-17 Product Repair/Mod Technician to support Boeing Global Services at Al Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait. The role is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force's C-17 aircraft. It covers both flight-line and back-shop maintenance tasks, and the employer is willing to sponsor an employment visa.

Key responsibilities

• Perform organizational-level maintenance such as aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement, and intermediate-level back-shop tasks such as component repair, test set operation, battery charging and scheduled inspections.
• Lead the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components.
• Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul, configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems and direct repairs of faulty components.
• Oversee validation and verification testing of systems and components.
• Document procedures and processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, and inspect components to verify repairs meet flight-worthiness requirements.
• Supervise others in the safe handling of aerospace vehicles (jacking, towing, system operations) and provide training and mentorship.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of C-17 maintenance experience; typical profile is 7+ years of C-17-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, understand and speak English, which is the primary language of the airbase community.
• US citizenship, as a US security clearance is required; an interim and/or final US Secret clearance post-start is needed.
• Ability to meet the cultural requirements of the country and to satisfy Kuwait labour and immigration formalities, including a clean criminal record check.
• Willingness to work one of two shifts, Sunday through Thursday, with weekends and holidays as required.
